Most people would agree that they would like to be able to give more to charity. The feeling of well being that comes from making a charitable donation far outweighs the trouble of handing over your money – especially if your chosen charity supports a cause close to your heart. However, many people are just not in a situation in which they can afford to hand over money to charities. After paying the monthly bills, putting food on the table and clothes on their back, a lot of people have precious little ‘comfort money’ left over to spend as they wish.

Car donation is the process by which someone donates their car to a non profit organization so that the proceeds can be used for something good. These organizations can be for any good cause such as children, cancer, or the homeless. The person donates their car for what is considered the current blue book value for tax purposes. They receive a receipt from the organization that can be used as a tax write off or deduction from that year’s taxes.
